Context
The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) is an international research organisation at the forefront of neutron science and technology.
Come and join our (6-person) Controls and Computing group, which forms part of the Electricity and Electronics Service in ILL's Reactor Division. The role of the Controls and Computing group is to carry out modernisation work, maintenance work and performance tests on ILL's reactor installations, in compliance with associated regulations.

Your tasks
Reporting to the group leader, you will have the following responsibilities:

-Preparing and performing maintenance operations and periodic testing and inspections on measuring equipment, as well as upgrading the control systems equipment and its instrumentation, in collaboration with the suppliers and operator of ILL's high-flux reactor (HFR)
-Updating documentation (electrical drawings)
-Performing testing and maintenance work on analogue circuit boards and control system cabinets in the laboratory
-Preparing maintenance and test procedures, monitoring subcontractors and reporting on activities concerning the quality management system.

Your profile
-You have a Level 4 or Level 5 qualification (NVQ, BTEC HNC/HND or equivalent) or apprenticeship degree in electrical engineering or maintenance, or a Level 4 qualification (A levels, HNC, advanced apprenticeship or equivalent) in maintenance, with at least 15 years of professional experience.
-You are able to modify control system equipment and instrumentation using industrial electrical drawings.
-You are proficient in the use of measuring devices and signal generators.
-You have a service-oriented attitude, a pragmatic approach and are able to work independently or as part of a team while complying with regulatory requirements.

You have a hands-on, meticulous approach to your work, as well as a sense of initiative and autonomy.
