What’s in it for you?
The team Engine & Transmission within the department Quality and Hybrid Propulsion is responsible for both HW and SW including attributes, functions and systems connected to complete Engine and Gearbox installed in vehicle. The team consists of 20 persons working as Product Owners, Component responsible, Design/CAD Engineers, SW Responsible and Test Engineer/Fault tracers. We are a curious and supporting team with a high technical and functional interest.
What you will do:
As Electrical HW Responsible you will work with the nodes ECM, TCM, ISGM, NRCM and issues related to today’s production and new projects covering quality, cost and technology. You will work closely with, for example, the PO, Scrum Master and SW-responsible within our team and also with our interfaces as System Designers, Base Technology Owners & Testers, Component tester and suppliers. Some of your duties will include breaking down system requirements to component level, monitoring and balancing technology, time and cost requirements, and ensuring installation approval from manufacturing and service organizations. You will also ensure component analysis and verification at component- and vehicle level, as well as create and Release technical documentation. Other responsibilities include:
• Performing the Hardware Joint reviews with supplier
• Developing product solutions and ensure production set-up
• Maintaining DPR and TR according to internal / external standards and Legal requirements
• Solving component-related problems occurred during production phase or in the field
• Keeping continuous contact with cross-functional interfaces
• Monitoring certification results for Emission Related Components
• Performing internal Design Reviews with the PT development teams
Your skills:
We believe that you have a relevant B.Sc. university degree or equivalent experience, and at least 2 years of experience within product development. To succeed in this position, you should have a strong technical competence with the ability to understand our components and systems. You should be fluent in written and spoken English. Experience from Product Development at Volvo Car Corporation is beneficial.

As a person you are methodical, well organised and structured, with good communication and educational skills. You are curious and driven, with the ability to work independent but also enjoy being a part of a development team. You have the ability to think outside the box and are customer oriented.
