HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.

Your responsibilities
In this role you will lead a local engineering team, who is responsible for Auxiliary Power System Design.
Provide direction to ensure that safety, integrity, financial and contractual requirements are met.
Support and plan that engineering teams are adequately resourced, developed and equipped to meet business needs.
Plan and control the process in the engineering teams conducts regular reviews to ensure that the teams are delivering work according to the customer and Hitachi Energy requirements.
Develop, implement and improve relevant processes, policies and procedures to improve effectiveness across the engineering function.
Create financial plans and budget estimates for unit/business.

Your background
You hold a master’s degree preferably in relevant field. Experience in, Technical Engineering for Power stations, HVDC, FACTS, Substations are qualifying.
As a person you have a passion for people and technology.
You are driven and can take responsibilities and make your own decisions, for your scope and deliver on time in a dynamic environment.
Since we work in an international environment you need to master spoken and written English.
You are a genuine team player that seeks and enjoys collaboration with peers and partners.
