Electrical Power Designer to Substations

You will be part of Substations in Västerås. The business unit designs and delivers complete substations for distribution and transmission grids. Our turnkey substation projects mainly comprise high and medium voltage apparatus, transformers, protection and control systems, auxiliary power systems as well as construction and erection work. Substations in Västerås, Ludvika, Norrköping and Göteborg has approximately 180 employees.

As Electric Power Designer at the unit Secondary Engineer within Substations you will be the link for the technologies used within our projects. This means that you will be part of the whole process, from creating the basic construction to delivery of turnkey plants. You will be responsible for making sure that the final construction meets set specifications and requirements. You will also be provided with the opportunity to visit suppliers and customers. Substations has established individual development plans, providing you the opportunity to grow with your assignment and continuously develop ? both on technically and as team leader. There are many opportunities to change tasks and unit to keep your assignments challenging and interesting. This position involves running the delegated part within electric design, supporting the work on site and to plan and follow time schedules for the projects.

You hold a Bachelor of Science or equivalent along with a specialization in Electric Power. To thrive in this position you need a few years? work experience. Former work with power transmission and distribution projects along with an understanding for customer demands is qualifying. Further experience from commissioning is an advantage as well. As the role involves an international network you need to master English.

You are quality conscious, goal oriented and thorough as well as structured and flexible in your work.
