Vestas Northern and Central Europe is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, UK, Ireland, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe and south of Africa. We are responsible for the Sales function, Project, Installation and Service of wind farms throughout these regions. Service Nordics is responsible for service and maintenance of wind turbines in the region. We are looking to hire an Electrical Safety Lead for Sweden who will be part of an NCE level group and cooperate with the different Nordic countries.
Responsibilities
As an ESL you will be the country-based lead of the ECC, the department of Electrical Control Coordination, stated in the Vestas Standard for Control of Hazardous Energy.
You will be responsible for the electrical installations and operative leads in the ECC department in at least one country with close collaboration with ESL colleagues around Europe. As an ESL for Sweden, you will report to the Area Manager for Sweden. As the role of ESL lies in the Vestas Service business unit but it is required that you also support the Construction business unit.
Furthermore, your responsibilities will be:
Administers the Electrical Safety Program in collaboration with the other stakeholders (Customer managers, local teamleaders, customers)
Supporting the business and new initiatives that require establishment of electrical safety procedures and processes (eg. Multibrand activities, business opportunities on service of substations and further, "Vestas part of the energy business", customer-oriented service by request, etc.)
Maintenance of Swedish company rules as required by local laws and standards and Support and alignment for inter-regional company rules
Qualifications
A-unlimited electrical competence level, as registered at Elsäkerhetsverket in Sweden (previously called “Allmän behörighet), or possibility for becoming registered as responsible for electricity A-level competence level towards the authorities
A university background
Understanding of national electrical legislation and relevant EU directives
Experience of leadership where you had an impact on the electrical work and directed people in how to work according to the standards
Fluence in English and Swedish, written and verbally
Driver’s licence

High safety standard combined with a practical and solution-oriented mindset
Comfortable in a high impact role within own area of expertise
Team player with ability to delegate work and train others
Good communication skills with an ability to handle different stakeholders and present your recommendations

Additional information
This role is based at our office in Malmö.
Some travel will occur, fx for site visits, team meetings, trainings and construction site meetings.
