We are a part of Epiroc that works as an independent unit developing market leading surface drill rigs. You will be joining a team of electrical and system designers with a wide span of experience that works closely together developing the next generation electrical system as well as developing the current products and solving problems for our customers. The team members support each other in the wide range of challenges that we face which means you will have the possibility to learn new things every day and share your own knowledge with other team members.


Your mission
A focus area at Epiroc is the development of intelligent machines with more automation and connectivity, at the same time there is a high focus on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. This means an increased amount of complex automation functions within the drill rigs control systems and this is why we are now looking for a dedicated system engineer to strengthen our control system and electrical systems department.  

The main focus of the work will be development the overall electrical system architecture and functions of our drill-rigs, together with other system engineers as well as mechanical engineers. Major part of the work will be to drive the development of the system architecture and writing component and software specifications for system elements.

You will work in cross functional teams together with other functions were you will be the expert on the electrical system, architecture and functions of the electrical system. Work spans from the early phases of design all the way to test and verification of the final product. You will be working in close vicinity to the factory which means that there are great opportunities to see the end result and also to test and evaluate different solutions on actual machines during the activities.


Your profile
To enjoy the work, it is important to have a genuine interest in technology and a desire to learn more about the products you are working with. It is important that you are innovative, willing to take responsibility and have the ability to work independently. Good collaboration skills are essential since work is performed in cross-functional teams. You must have a structured and analytical approach where you combine theory and practice and the ability to deliver results according to the set goals.

You should have a documented academic background within applied physics, electrical engineering, embedded systems, control and robotics, mechatronics, computer systems or other highly qualified engineering background.

We believe you have some years of professional experience within industry automation, mechatronics, electrical control systems or similar and you are used to take ideas from an initial concept to serial production. You have good knowledge in overall system design, functional and algorithm development and have good command of Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
