Electrification is in an more exciting phase then ever! The demand for competitive, climate smart, transport solutions increases rapidly. Scania is now investing heavily in a new state of the art test center for battery performance testing. This to be able to meet the demand from our customers. We are now looking for motivated and curious engineers with experience from battery testing or battery development to join our team.
About
Our team, Battery Performance Testing, is responsible for testing batteries on single cells, modules, packs and complete energy storage systems. We are also responsible for testing full vehicles with focus on electrification property targets, such as range, charge time and battery efficiency. We plan and execute tests and analyze the results. In this constellation we also have a unique possibility to keep the red line in testing to compare result from single cells to full vehicles within the same team.
Your tasks
This position is aimed to strengthen our team within module testing. In this area the constraints that the module design puts on the cells and how that effects life and performance is main focus. Based on your experience, knowledge and ambition, we will have a suitable task for you within our team. You execute tests, analyze results, write your reports and presents results. Keeping a good dialog with test stake holders is key for a successful testing so communication is important. We work actively with improving our methods on a continuous basis and have a culture that welcomes new ideas and approaches.
Your profile
In our team, diversity is key for success! You might be a chemist with a master within electrochemistry and experience from laboratory work. Or, you are an engineer with a strong analytical mindset with programming skills that like to process large amounts of data. Perhaps your strengths might lie in being a practical person, like to get the show on the road, with mechatronic skills and embedded knowhow. Regardless of your strengths, you like to take your analyzed results and boil it down to neat graphs that you happily share and discuss with your team members.
It is an advantage if you have
• experience from rig automation systems such as LabView Puma or other
• experience in metrology "the science of measurement”
• experience from embedded systems and ECU communication
• C or D drivers license
• knowledge in Swedish or German
