Be the bridge between E-mobility and Project Purchasing!
Do you have experience in purchasing combined with eagerness to lead projects and expand your network? Are you also thrilled by being a part of Scania’s electrified future?
Scania has taken the lead in the journey towards a sustainable transport system. After the launch of our electrified truck for urban transport, we will now launch solutions for regional and long haulage transports. The journey has started and we need more colleagues to help us reach our destination.
Therefore, we are looking for an Electrification Officer to join our team. What does that mean – you might wonder? To be honest - we can’t tell you 100 percent, because this role includes many different sides and evolves continuously. We can briefly explain it as you will be the spider in the web, being the Project Manager for eMobility at Purchasing, and having a holistic view of Scania’s Electrification Roadmap. As an informal Leader, the Electrification Officer is a single point of contact for a wide range of topics, within Purchasing as well as cross-functionally. Assignments include developing work methods and E-mobility strategy together with other functions, TRATON and other teams within Project Purchasing. You will definitely have the opportunity to influence the electrified sustainable future that Scania is contributing to!
Details about the role
This position allows you to fly high and dive deep where some assignments will be recurring and others ad hoc. One day you will be requested to represent Purchasing at a project review visualizing the overall status and the next defining the consequences of a new process or change in the product road map. As new ways of working are piloting through Electrification projects, our Department is at the forefront of Scania’s own Transformation. you will therefore be part of understanding, aligning and introducing these methods into our Purchasing operations.
What your work could include:
• Being a Stakeholder in the Strategic Plan for Purchasing Electrification, alignment with cross functions, and execution.
• Developing new work processes and methods.
• Representing Purchasing in cross-functional for a, acting as a Project Manager.
• Internal purchasing coordination and running decision meetings specific to E-Mobility.
• Supporting the management team in high-level decision meetings.
• Supporting coordination within TRATON.
Purchasing Electrification is relatively new and you will be part of our management team. We believe in clarity and openness, mutual interdependence among team members, and collective learning power. Who are you?
The role spans many different aspects and will require a person comfortable with working on a holistic strategic level and at the same time combing through the details. The ideal candidate is an experienced Purchaser, or a Purchasing manager, preferably with a previous Project Purchasing background at Scania or similar organizations.
We see that you have:
• Experience in complex negotiations
• Experience in cross-functional teamwork within product development projects
• Leadership experience is a merit
• Fluency in English
