Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Do you want to be part of developing Scania's electrified transport vehicles? Electrification currently has two parallel test groups, both dedicated to assuring the quality of the vehicle's battery control system. We are seeking several new Test Engineers to work with us in a positive, inclusive atmosphere underpinned by commitment and expertise. Access to state-of-the-art methods, equipment and test vehicles, will be less than 50 meters from your desk.
The role
As a Test Engineer, you will acquire extensive knowledge of the vehicle management system and gain a good overview of the interaction between the various software functions. You will also have an opportunity to try out new methods and ideas for finding better and more effective ways of verifying future products.
As a Test Engineer, you will work on software system testing. You will inspect requirements, create test cases and write test scripts for automatic test cases. Testing will be carried out both on test rigs (SIL and HIL) and in vehicles (trucks and buses). The role also covers analysing results and developing and improving strategies and methods. We work closely with our software developers and system owners to effectively improve the software and deliver a high-quality product to our customers.
Are you the person we are looking for?
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in a similar role. Ideally you will be responsible, organised and comfortable making decisions. You have the ability to understand complex problems quickly, as required by the day-to-day work of this role, and appreciate the challenge of finding creative solutions together with your colleagues. You are also flexible and able to switch focus in your work when necessary.
Requirements:
• A degree or equivalent engineering qualification in electrical, embedded or mechatronic engineering
• Programming knowledge
• European car driving licence
• Good spoken and written Swedish and English
Advantageous:
• Previous experience working on software testing, software development, ISO 26262 and ISTQB
• Cyber security experience
• Driving licence for trucks and/or buses
