Volvo Penta, Industrial Business Unit (IBU), Service Market Operations is advancing with a new function and team, the Global Electromobility Technical Support Team. We are currently staffing up the team and are looking for you with a relevant background and ready to accept the challenge to assume the role as one of our frontline E-mob Technical Support Specialist.
In the greater team within IBU Service Market Operations you will join competent and committed colleagues working with business development, warranty and business partner support, diesel engine technical support, quality case management and key account management for global key OEMs’ service market. Always in close collaboration with our coworkers in other parts of IBU, central functions and the globally distributed market units. We work from the head office in Gothenburg and thrive in a truly multicultural global environment with customer success, trust, passion, change and performance as our core values and driving forces.
This is how you could make an impact
The team and role is a practical technical support node and resource in the service market interface between our OEM customers - who have installed and integrated Volvo Penta electric power solutions in their machineries - our Volvo Penta market units and Volvo Penta central technical competence and support functions.
As a E-mob Technical Support Specialist and member of the Global Electromobility Technical Support Team, you will be taking on an important role in the frontline of our customer relationship performing crucial problem-solving hands-on work on our products for performance and uptime.
In addition to pure relevant technical competence, the successful candidate for this position needs to have the ability to work and thrive in an international multi-cultural environment where drive, situational adaptation with customer focus and collaboration and networking to solve, document and report technical issues are key factors. Since our OEM customers operate all over the world, an additional requirement is flexibility to be able to travel to OEMs' locations and their customer sites at relatively short notice.
Who are you, do we have a match?
As your background and characteristics, you probably also recognize yourself in:
Technical education, Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Skilled in electrotechnology and/or electromechanics
Knowledge of engine and transmission engineering
Able to use qualified IT system for analyses and reporting
Good knowledge of technical English and can handle general conversation well
Action minded, fast paced with passion for customer success
Strong networking skills, always eager to learn more and in return a knowledge sharer
Comfortable with individual work and travel as well as meeting new contacts and cross-functional team tasks
