This is Us
For 40 years Sigicom has developed instruments for the professional measurement industry. Figuratively speaking, our expertise in measurement, industrial operations and microprocessors, is built into all of our systems. Computer technology is used to process, transmit, collate, and present data in a way that relieves the mundane, time-consuming tasks from a human operator. We have experience in complex product development targeted towards demanding and difficult applications, as well as more cost-sensitive applications. It gives us a good starting point for utilizing clever combinations of existing and new technology for new and existing applications.
We have grown to be an industry leader in the development of environmental measurement systems, while at the same time maintaining a great atmosphere and close collaboration with our customers.
The Role
As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Development team, which consists of approximately 25 engineers with expertise in software, hardware, firmware, mechanical engineering, automation, and testing. You will join the hardware group within Development, where your contributions will help shape our embedded measurement products through both new designs and the maintenance of existing ones. We are currently looking to enhance the team's competencies and bring in additional expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design electronic equipment and systems, from concept to execution.
• Create and manage schematic diagrams, select components, and work with PCB technologies and floor planning.
• Specialize in digital design, focusing on low-power solutions, including multi-core MPUs, digital signal processing, Cortex-M, RISC-V, displays, RTOS, and FPGA technologies.
• Design and implement analog systems (below 50 kHz), including low-noise ADCs and filters, noise calculations, high-impedance designs, sensors, and applications in physics and chemistry.
• Develop power supply systems, including batteries and both low-power linear and switched-mode power supplies.
• Support and maintain processes and routines regarding production and calibration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, software and hardware teams.
The Profile
• Strong experience in electronics development, with a focus on both digital and analog systems.
• Hands-on expertise in RF technologies, including cellular modems, GNSS, antennas, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
• Experience with compliance, EMC, and relevant certifications, including protection circuits, CE, FCC, IC, Electrical safety, Radio & Cyber security.
