Who we are and what we offer
Electronic prototyping is responsible for developing and manufacturing electronic prototypes for the whole R&D organisation. The prototypes are mainly used for testing during the developing phase. Our responsibility is to ensure that our colleagues have the prototypes they need when it comes to harnesses, control boxes, drawing circuits schemes, circuit boards or other test equipment. We make prototypes after existing documentation, but also customized electronics based on the customer´s needs. We are a part of the eART Test Rig Hotel. Test Rig Hotel shall enable HW and SW testing with test environments like e.g. HIL (Hardware in the Loop), VIL (Vehicle in the Loop) and boxcars.

Working with Testing Technology means that you establish and develop relationships with test engineers within most system areas of the vehicle. You will also build an understanding of the technology within those areas. We are a team supporting the R&D organization with electronic prototypes.

What you’ll do
As Electronic Engineer you will have responsibility for breakout harness for VILs (Vehicle in the Loop) and Boxcars, both to understand the needs, design the harness and to produce them. We expect that you have a deep interest in electronics and technology. You should like to dig deep into technical solutions to find what the user needs. The harness will be unique for the specific test and you need to find out how to design the harness and produce it in our workshop. The assignment includes a big part of practical work where you build and verify the prototype in our workshop. You are the driver of the workflow from problem solving to verified solution.

You and your skills
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have a bachelor or master’s degree in electronic engineering or, similar work experience. You have knowledge from the automotive industry and in designing and understanding electric schematics, as well as experience in soldering. We also believe that you have experience of building electronic prototypes and harness design.

Driver’s license B is a requirement for this position. Knowledge in electrical safety regulations and basic programming skills (C) are seen as meritorious skills.

For this position we put a lot of emphasis on finding a candidate with the right approach and personality. We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in this area of work, tech savvy and always eager to develop and learn more. In this role you will get the opportunity to work independently, it is therefore of great importance that you can drive change and implementation on your own. Communication and building relationships with different stakeholders and customers comes naturally for you and is something you enjoy working with.
