Electronic/ FPGA Designer

About the job
AFRY in Västerås is looking for an experienced electronic and/or FPGA designer. Our group is working both with clients in the nearby region as well as with clients in other geographical areas. As an employee at AFRY you will have the opportunity to work with a lot of exicting assignments. This makes this job very interesting and you will learn a lot from projects you are involved in as well as you will share your experience to other team members.
We have several ways of working towards our clients:

Professional Services: You are working at a client’s site under their supervision.
Managed Agile Team: AFRY delivers a team of normally 7-8 persons to the client and supervision is performed by AFRY.
Project: AFRY delivers a result to client. Supervision by AFRY.  

 

Who are you?
You have an educational background as BSc/MSc within Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar. For this role we are looking for someone with 5-10 years of experience within electronic design and/or FPGA design. 
You are familiar with tools like:

Orcad / Mentor Graphics, PSpice / LTSpice, Altium, CADSTAR 
Intel tool chain for FPGAs / Xilinx tool chain for FPGAs 

You write and speak fluent English and it is an advantage if you have knowledge in Swedish. 
As a consultant you enjoy the fact that you often work with with different colleagues in new situations. You value cooperation and have a good communication skills. You have a structured way of working and you are keen on keeping good documentation. 
A burning interest for different kind of technologies is good to have as our clients in most cases have complex products where the electronics is a part of the solution. So if you enjoy to understand a bit of the software and the mechanics, then you are the one we are looking for. If you find this interesting – this job could be perfect for you.
