Position Description
We are looking for an Electric and Electronic Systems engineer/Product owner for development of our Base EE system platform.
The main purpose of this role is to manage the development and the maintenance of the platform during the whole life cycle and to maintain the Base EE system platform roadmap.


As Product Owner you will have a strong foothold in the Embedded Electronic System development team as well as with stakeholders and Product Manager for the Base EE system platform function and Services and continuously balance what is on top of the agenda. You are responsible to define Iterations and stories and prioritizing the team backlog.


You will be involved in all stages of product development, from early phase pre-studies, system architecture and functions development to verification and release. You will work with stakeholders from various technology teams, component owners, internal and external solution providers, and product owners to identify design concepts that will best meet our customer's needs.

Embedded Electronic Systems (EES) Architecture is a function within Volvo CE’s Technology organization.
We develop and provide Volvo CE machines with Base EE system platforms used as the foundation and enabler for all electronic controlled functions and features to support connectivity, service solutions, autonomous functions, electromobility as well as machine operational functions. We are responsible to drive, develop and maintain our Electronic Architecture platform commonly used by all machines within Volvo CE.

When working within EES Architecture team, the collaboration within Volvo CE and Volvo Group to develop common solutions, gives an extensive network with colleagues from all cultures and areas. What will you be doing?
You will be the product owner and work with development of our Base EE system platform.
Building, editing, and maintaining the team backlogs with input from stakeholders such as system architects, projects, engineering, other POs etc.
Handling and prioritize the backlog content
Secure alignment with stakeholders and Product Manager
Iteration Planning – Reviewing and reprioritizing the backlog as part of the prep work for Iteration Planning, including coordination of dependencies with other POs
Develop & maintain the roadmap
To represent the customer and ensure that the team delivers value to the business
Balance different product’s requirements, such as platform vs business. I.e. ensuring we get the optimum level of QDCF (Quality, Delivery, Cost & Feature)
Have a strong foothold in the development team as well as with stakeholders and Product Manager
Lead and continuously support in developing the processes, methods and tools that are used by the team to continuously improve
Participate in relevant concept selections & investigations
Responsible for Base EE System Bundle release

We also believe you have:
Relevant academic background, e.g. Bachelor and/or master’s degree
Good communication skill in English, proficiency in Swedish is desirable
Knowledge within Systems engineering
Knowledge and experience of working with embedded electronic systems
Experience with model-based system engineering
Experience working as an electrical design engineer in automotive industry
Desire and curiosity to perform and develop in Agile way of working & SAFe
Leadership experience, i.e. as a scrum master or similar technical lead
Great interest and curiosity in the area and willingness to challenge yourself and learn.
