Electronic test engineer - test the EEE-technology of tomorrow

Electronic test engineer - test the EEE-technology of tomorrow

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Electrification is a key part of this transformation, with a goal of 50% of our vehicle sales volumes to be electrified by 2030, and the development of the new electric drive line with energy storage, charging, inverters, autonomous sensors, electric motors, and not least electronics are a crucial part of the electrification effort.

We now face completely new factors and requirements that affect the conditions for all our electrical components in the vehicle. Would you like to play a part in an incredibly exciting journey in the development of the next generation of vehicles? Do you find it compelling to curiously test, explore, stress, and expose electronic components to their limits and beyond?

At Environmental Verification (EPCT) we are responsible for the quality assurance of the electrical, electronic, and electromechanical hardware components, mentioned above. We do environmental testing, analysis, calculations, and, where necessary, measurement in vehicles and rigs. At our disposal, we have excellent facilities and a large modern laboratory.

With us, you will gain a good knowledge of the components you test, including early contact with the newest technology. We develop technology in collaboration with colleagues in other teams and throughout the whole Scania Group. In the group, we help each other to succeed in our commitments, develop new working and testing methods, and also to grow as human beings.

Your role

You'll be working in a team that is characterized by a high and broad skill set, collaboration, and self-motivation, and where we constantly learn from one another. Our educational background is a mix of BSc. and MSc. Engineering graduates as well as Ph.D. graduates, from a range of different backgrounds.

Your tasks will include the following:

• Perform testing of electrical and electromechanical components
• Develop testing and simulation methodology within the technology scope
• Collaboration with developers and project managers
• Analysis of field-related issues and components
• In-vehicle measurements on the test track, in field tests, and at our customers' sites

Your profile

We're looking for an enterprising, structured, and flexible person with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, probably in electrical engineering, applied physics, or vehicle mechanical engineering, with an interest in both practical work and analysis. Knowledge of power electronics, electronics, and electromechanics are required. Experience in the areas of mechanics, material resistance, and thermodynamics is an advantage.

Does all this sound like something to you? We look forward to receiving your application!

Application

Your application should include a cover letter, CV, and copies of degrees and certificates. Apply no later than December 13th, 2022. A background check might be conducted for this position.
