The Software team within our Hardware department is growing and looking for an additional Electronics Engineer! CellaVision develops advanced medical equipment with high requirements on reliability, accuracy, image quality, and throughput. The analyzers are equipped with high-resolution optics, precision mechanics, and specialized image processing. The Hardware department consists of mechanical, software, and electronics engineers, each contributing with their specific knowledge and cooperating in solving interdisciplinary problems and turning ideas into products.

The Hardware department consists of two teams: Mechanics and Software. Mechanics is responsible for developing and maintaining the mechanical, optical, and esthetical parts of the analyzers and accessories. Software is responsible for developing and maintaining the embedded software, PC software, and electronics for the analyzers and accessories. Both teams have responsibilities in testing analyzers and software according to applicable international laws and standards, and in transferring designs to production.

Key tasks of the role

- Develop and maintain FPGA-based embedded systems with various sensors and actuators.
- Develop and maintain procedures, documentation, and equipment for production, test, and calibration.
- Test, investigate, and verify products and prototypes.
- Participate in the design of systems using a combination of PC software, embedded software, electronics, mechanics, and optics.
- Review component selections, designs, and reports from colleagues.
- Share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues.

To be successful in the role you need:

- M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Good electronics design skills, in particular for digital circuitry and power supplies.
- Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- To have a strong sense of responsibility
- To be meticulous and have a strong sense of detail to make sure nothing is left to chance.
- To be self-driven as well as take responsibility for your work both in success and setbacks.
- To take initiative and contribute with your ideas to the team.
- To have good judgment, and take decisions based on your experience.


It is also meritorious if you already have

- Experience with Altium Designer.
- Experience in optics, imaging, electromechanics, or stepper motors.
- Experience in the development of high-speed electronics.
- Knowledge in programming, in particular VHDL, C++, or some scripting language.
- Experience from working in regulated environments.
