Have you ever considered getting into the laser business?
Cobolt AB is at the very forefront of the industry in the development and manufacture of high-performance CW and Q-switched lasers. We are committed to supplying high performance and innovative lasers that meet or exceed the market’s expectations concerning quality, reliability and robustness. We are now further expanding the R&D department and are therefore looking for a skilled Electronics Engineer to complement our talented team of engineers.
As an Electronics Engineer you will work in close collaboration within the Electronics/Software team and in close collaboration with, mechanical CAD engineers and laser engineers. The job includes CAD assisted layout work for production documentation but also involves making electronical designs of mixed analogue and digital electronics for laser systems ranging from IR, to visible, to UV. The work also involves verification and test of the hardware as well as firmware programming to enable test functions of the electronics boards equipped with microcontrollers. Your work will consist of a combination of design improvements on existing products, and new development.

You will be able to control your own work and have the possibility to affect our ground-breaking products in collaboration with our team of excellent engineers.
You are
We believe that you are a structured person who are used to, and enjoys, working in teams and communicating with others. We also believe that you have:
- BSc, MSc degree in electronic engineering, or similar field.
- Strong knowledge of both analogue and digital designs.
- Experienced in working with PCB.
- Good knowledge in PCB CAD layout constructions and has experience of Altium.
- Familiar with CE marking and certification processes like EMC, EMI and conductive emission.
- Good background in measurement and verification techniques.
- Experience in working with microprocessors and microcontrollers such as ARM, Cortex-M.
- Knowledge in programming languages like C, C++, and Python.
- Fluent in English.

Cobolt AB was founded in 2000 and is a spin-off from a research project at KTH. Today Cobolt AB belongs to the HÜBNER Photonics Group and the research department here consists of 12 persons working within CAD, laser-, software- and electronic engineering. As an employer, we provide the perfect combination of working in an intellectually stimulating environment, in a team with complementing skills on a high level that enables us to take on challenging tasks and deliver. Our production and development are based in Solna, with 700m² of cleanroom for production.
