About SHIFT Electric Mobility:
Shift Electric Mobility is available in four countries: Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Our customers operate public transport by electric buses, and our responsibility is to ensure their reliability in daily operations, regardless of time, weather, and problem with the bus. This with the help of our service networks with techniques with expert expertise in electric vehicles.
Our HQ and warehouse is based in Jönköping, Sweden. SHIFT Electric Mobility is privately owned and we are part of the North Castle group. Long story short - we are an exciting start-up, characterized by entrepreneurship, but with strong muscles.

About the position as a mechanic in electric buses:
The role gives you great variety. Here you can join and develop - and revolutionize the electric car industry with us! One day at SHIFT is not the same as the other, and therefore, we think that you are not afraid of getting new challenges every day, without knowing in advance what the day or the problems will look like.
You get a great responsibility, and your main task involves PDI, service campaigns, troubleshooting & repairfor buses and trucks. We expect you to be driven and willing to learn and develop all the time, together with us and our customers.
In the role of mechanic, you are responsible for:
Troubleshooting electrical & mechanical failures on the vehicles
Perform different kinds of service campaigns
Do Pre-Delivery Inspection to new vehicles
Repair & replace spare parts
Report writing and adminsitration

A typical day as a mechanic for electric buses at SHIFT Electric Mobility:
You work as a mechanic in our workshop in Helsinki. Your typical day includes performing different kind of service campaigns, vehicle trouble shooting & repairs or PDI work. Also possibility to visit customer workshop with our mobile technicians. You will work in one shift from morning till afternoon. You will also work with administration and report all the jobs you perform in writing, in English.
Who are you?
You are driven, want to develop things and are not afraid of challenges. You are cam, dare to take own initiatives and you are the person who see opportunities where others see obstacles. Quality is A and O in your work.
We also want you to have a mechanical background and great interest in new technology and vehicles. You are safe and have no problems taking responsibility. You receive them with pride - and always deliver results.
Your background:
Work experience and knowledge as a mechanic, preferably as a bus mechanic or truck mechanic
Detail-focused
Flexible
High work ethic
B driver's license

We also want you to have a mechanical background and great interest in new technology and vehicles. You are safe and have no problems taking responsibility. You receive them with pride - and always deliver results.
Staff activities:
Work hard… play hard. We organize quarterly staff activities, where all our employees from all over the Nordic region meet in one place. We like to get together, spend time together for dinners and finally (post covid) parties, just like a big family. Sometimes we compete in go-karts, travel the world or participate in Formula-E competitions. Every year we travel to a secret destination for our annual kick-off together (Last year we went to Marrakesh to watch the Grand E-prix!)
