We are looking for an Embedded C++ Developer with Android Expertise!

DevPort is seeking a talented Embedded C++ Developer with a strong background in Android to join our team and work with one of our prestigious clients in the automotive industry. If you are passionate about embedded systems and enjoy working with cutting-edge technologies, this opportunity could be perfect for you!

As an Embedded C++ Developer, you will play a key role in developing software for an Android Automotive OS-based Infotainment Platform. Your work will contribute to the future of in-vehicle experiences, supporting a seamless integration of Android into the automotive environment.

You will be working with:

• Development within the Android platform.
• Securing the foundation for all application teams to build their components on.
• Integrating patches from the BSP supplier.
• Improving and collaborating on cross version and cross platform software compatibility.
• Development, improvement, test and maintenance of the new hardware platform.
• Support application teams in adapting their SW for the new Android and hardware platform versions.
• Ensure the new HW platform is reusing the existing shared VCC software platform codebase.
• Adapt the SELinux policies to work correctly with the new hardware platform and Android version.
• Coordinate and communicate with the CI teams to enable the new hardware support quickly and smoothly.

Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience with Embedded C++, preferably within the automotive industry
• Hands-on experience with Android, especially AOSP
• Solid understanding of Linux OS
• Experience in test automation and performance test development
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written, since it is used in the daily work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python-based frameworks like pyTest and Robot
• Familiarity with AOSP test frameworks (CTS, ATS, VTS)
• Proficiency in C++, Java, and Kotlin for troubleshooting and code analysis
• Knowledge of Linux Kernel and software performance measurement tools
• Previous experience in automotive software development
