Embedded Developer C++

Luminator is a leading innovator in the design and manufacturing of communications and lighting products in public transport industry for more than 90 years. They are now expanding their software department and are looking for an embedded developer to join their Software Technology Development Center in Herrljunga.

The role

As an embedded developer you will be responsible for design, develop, delivery and support of our software suite to the public transport industry (bus and rail). Your primary focus will be with development of standard, modular unit applications running on passenger information units. You will develop and improve standard software unit application modules like communication (For example ITxPT or VDV301), diagnostic, remote update etc.

Your background

For this role we believe you have a BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent field. You have worked a couple of years as an embedded developer with good knowledge in C++ and Linux. In this role you will also work with communication and scripting therefore previous experience in Python and communication tools are highly meritorious.

As a person we believe you are highly interested in technique and like to keep yourself updated in your area of expertise. We are looking for a proactive person with “Can do” attitude who identifies, plans and executes what needs to be improved. You’re a teamplayer and enjoy communicating with your colleagues and other stakeholders.
