Embedded Developer in a Galaxy Far, Far Away…

Maybe it was MSE-6, BB-8, K2-SO or R2-D2 that impressed you back then?
Or R2-D2:s constant companion, the golden C-3PO? Yeah, you’ve probably seen them, loved them and dreamt of them since your youth. The robots (oh sorry, the droids).
If that’s the case, we’re extra glad to welcome you to the galaxy of Residential Robotics at Husqvarna Group. The place where you can contribute to bringing robots to real life.
Yes, you read that right.
A long time ago (334 years to be more exact), Husqvarna was setting sails, in a galaxy far, far away…
Nah, okey, it was actually in a quite small town called Huskvarna, where we today are developing the robotic lawnmowers of tomorrow (The Automower®). Robots that can make our customers lawns perfectly manicured every day, without lifting a finger. Just like the gardens of Alderaan.
The force is quite strong with the codebase at robotics. Beside node transparency and protocol abstractions, a dedicated focus on modular architecture and functional coherency there is. With 200,000 daily users in the app and seamless connections to smart home services like Google Home, Alexa and IFTTT, it is quite hard to see to the end of this universe of technologies.

You (and your future colleagues) are the ones blowing “the soul” into the product. That’s beautiful, right?
As an Embedded-Developer at Robotics, you’re in to the nitty gritty. The one who put the “ones and zeros” together. Yeah, you know the drill. Everything from device drivers to advanced algorithms and user interfaces to help bring cutting-grass technology to the masses. You will work on programming the behavior and movements of our robots, just like how a Jedi Knight program the droids. All to make the mowers move, with the right behavior and speed.
And speaking of code. At Robotics, you can test code and then roll it out quite directly, without several people having to approve it. We trust you to convert complex relationships, into structured and simple code. We want you to have the freedom to let your ideas flow, no matter how "out of this galaxy" they may seem.
Unfortunely, none of us have a BB-8 following us around fixing all our problems, but hey, you will have great colleagues instead, always there, having your back when you need a hour to go through the code. Maybe you don't understand the solution from start, but then we will find it. Together.
As you can see, chances that you get restive here is approximately 3,720 to 1.
About you:
Here, we would usually fill in what we are looking for, but we believe that you who gets that smile on your face reading the above are an experienced Embedded Developer, who really like new technique, so we do not need to explain that in more detail.
Nor do we require that your primary asset is to be fluent in six million languages, just like C-3PO. We’re happy if you’re fluent in C and English. A plus if you’re also fluent in Swedish (you should at least be able to communicate and understand).
