ABOUT THE POSITION:
As an embedded developer you will be working in one of Icomeras agile teams developing the software that runs on the companys own hardware. The software running on the routers and other products are truly at the core of what Icomera do and you will be an important part of that. As the area of software development continues to develop Icomera offers you a great opportunity for learning new things and develop within the organization.
You will work mostly in C/C++ but will also be exposed to other languages such as Python and Rust. You will also coorporate with other internal departments such as Hardware Development, IT Operations and Product Management. Icomera uses Git for version control and the commonly used database is SQLite3. There are also some Shell scripts and they usually run on a Linux environment (Debian/Ubuntu).
The day-to-day work includes both development of new solutions and maintaining existing solutions and making sure that they are optimized to the needs of our clients. It is a natural part of Icomeras work to find a good balance regarding Quality, Delivery and Cost (QDC) so that they can deliver high-quality code within the deadlines of various projects. Furthermore, it is important that you can write code that is readable, understandable and testable to establish a foundation for continuous deployment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
To succeed in this role, you need to:
Have a technical education within computer science, software engineering and/or telecom.Have experience in working with embedded development in C/C++ from school and/or work-life.Have excellent communications skills both written and spoken in English and basic in Swedish.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:
This is a consulting assignment which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is that the assignment will result in a permanent position at the client company.
