Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Who are we?
The team "Hardware Test Platform" is responsible for the design and build of the hardware in our HIL (Hardware in the Loop) test platform. The HIL platform is used to perform integration tests of the complete vehicle’s electrical system. We work with an innovative concept called FlexHIL, which is scalable to many test levels. This means that the same HW that was designed to the complete vehicle testing could be used as well for single ECU testing.
Since we support integration of all systems in the vehicle, this position offers a unique overview and insight in all development within embedded systems at Scania.
The group consists of 10 employees and an additional group of consultants formed by 11 people.
Your tasks
This role is focusing on the HW design part, developing embedded systems at a microcontroller level that will be in charge of the reading and generation of both, analogue and digital signals. Besides, this job involves designing electronics that will allow us to process and modify information frames that will be decoded and sent with different protocols. In order to do this, we need person that shall be able to perform:
* Schematics design.
* Component selection.
* Analog electronics design (such as analogue filters, voltage and current amplifiers, DACs, ADCs).
* Digital electronics design (such as digital filters, implementation of electrical layer in communication protocols – UART, SPI, CAN bus, Ethernet, USB –, use of microcontrollers).
* Embedded C programming.
* Development and performing of functionality tests during the development process.
Some “nice to have” skills:
* PCB layout design: components placing, multilayer board routing.
* HW close programming (e.g. FPGA - VHDL)
Together in the group we develop the HIL-environment to a modular platform that can support Scania’s project and function growth.
Your profile
You have:
* a relevant university degree e.g. within computer science, electrical, mechatronics engineering or similar
* a strong interest in electrical or electronics engineering that you have either acquired through studies or own projects,
* a good knowledge in embedded systems hardware development
You are:
* self-going
* responsible
* service-minded
* thorough
* solutions-oriented
* fluent in English, Swedish is a big plus
Working in a similar role within a company in the automotive industry would be an advantage.
If you possess some (not necessarily all) of the requirements mentioned, we encourage you to apply with confidence. Every application is valued, and we welcome you to join us on this exciting journey of sustainability-driven innovation. Your unique skills and experiences could be a perfect fit for our team!
Our commitment to sustainability drives our innovation, and we invite you to be part of this exciting journey.
We offer
We work with all the embedded systems for the complete vehicle. This gives you the possibility to work with the latest technology for example for electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles. We collaborate with the owners of the different embedded systems which will give you a broad network within Scania and also the possibility to learn about the details.
Here at Scania you have the possibility of boosting your career and you will have a team of people helping you unleash your true potential! In our team specifically we also organise group activities which involve innovation, improvement work, sports, and more!
