Embedded Linux Developer - Luleå

Assignment Description:
We are looking for an Embedded Linux Developer who is experienced in deployment Multimedia frameworks for embedded Linux distributions (ex. Gstreamer, OpenMax).

What you'll do:
● Design, implement and maintain firmware for embedded systems and collaborate with hardware engineers and software engineers to ensure firmware compatibility.
● Develop the Gateway of SKFs IMx-1 system. IMx-1 is a scalable and easy to set up mesh sensor network for data collection; consisting of an autonomous battery powered wireless vibration and temperature sensor.
● Be involved in the design and implementation of new features and functionality for the Gateway, as well as maintenance of existing ones.
● Design, code and integrate software for an embedded Linux target (applications, drivers, TI framework).
● Develop firmware on the device using C++, the Qt framework and contribute to and work with the overall firmware architecture alongside the team.
Who you are:
● Good Knowledge of deployment Multimedia frameworks for embedded Linux distributions (ex. Gstreamer, OpenMax).
● Experience in working with complex systems requiring Legacy Management and compatibility challenges.
● Expertise in C and Linux is probably the most important thing to be able to take on the role.
● Excellent communication, teamwork skills, inter-personal and Organizational skills.
● Been on at least one “death march” and know exactly why something have to be avoided.
