Job description
As an Embedded Machine Learning developer at ASSA ABLOY, you will work together with creative, curious, and knowledgeable people like yourself. Together we will create the next generation locks, doors and access systems. The pre-product innovation team at ASSA ABLOY is responsible for building competence and reducing risk in early stages of new products and concepts. We work in small self-organized teams to digitalize our products, empower sustainable buildings, do pre-emptive maintenance and modernize access systems among many other things. We use radar, vibration analysis, positioning, identification and 2D and 3D image analysis, among other technologies. The objective is to build knowledge and to find new and unrevealed opportunities within our domain, that creates value to the user and that is likely to be a new ASSA ABLOY Innovation. We are currently looking for an Embedded Machine Learning developer to strengthen our pre-product innovation team. We will hire people continuously so don't hesitate to contact us.
You will report to the R&D Manager Embedded, Group Technology Team. The office is located in Årstadal, Stockholm, and international travel is required from time to time.
What we are looking for
Foremost, we think you are an open-minded and curious team-player who takes pride in contributing at all levels and that you are passionate about work. We are not looking for an expert but we expect you to be hands-on analyzing all types of data coming from different kinds of sensors integrated in embedded systems from start, and we believe that you have a strong wish to grow your knowledge and that you strive to become an expert in your area over time. We think it's beneficial to be curious and with an interest to learn more about RaspPi:es, wireless and sensor technologies.
We expect you to have experience from:
Python
Digital signal processing
Analyzing sensor data
Additional competence in the following areas will be of merit:
Mapping sensor data to physical reality
ML/AI
C/C++ in embedded environment
Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required.
For this position, we encourage you to apply if you have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, engineering physics or similar.
What you will do
You will be part of a competent team with broad technical and embedded knowledge. Together you will define, develop, build, explore and test new solutions.
Your work will span from computer-based development and analysis to building prototypes and hands-on testing in our concept lab and out in field installations. You will build great knowledge when investigating the potential of the solutions, in cooperation with users and customers.
