Embedded Software Design Engineer

Volvo CE Electrical and Electronic System technology platform is developing Electrical and Electronic Systems for all Volvo CE machines. It is a fast growing technology area today globally organized in 11 different departments on 7 locations in 6 countries. 5 of the departments are located in Eskilstuna. The SW & ESW Process department in Eskilstuna is developing embedded software, and is globally responsible for embedded software common components, tools and development process, as well as the processes supporting the release, download and service of embedded software (the ?ESW Process?). We are currently looking to reinforce our SW Development team. Core Responsibilities As Embedded Software Design Engineer, you will work with the specification, design, implementation, and integration of our embedded software systems. Most of the software is written in C. However, model based tools like MATLAB/Simulink are also used. The software modules are tested in a simulated PC environment before they are integrated and tested as a complete system. Qualifications Master or Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or similar Experience of developing software for embedded systems Experience in writing C/C++ Experience of model based design Knowledge of requirement management and documentation of software Good spoken and written English
