Embedded Software Developer

Main Responsibility

This role offers you an opportunity to design, develop and debug software in both an embedded Linux environment and task-based bare metal environment together with a highly skilled and senior team for our smart connected alarm system serving customers throughout Europe.

You will work and interface various internal cross-functional teams and third-party OEMs. Our team is responsible for the central unit in the customers' alarm system which contains a Linux and a real-time based embedded system.

The work includes narrowband radio stack, VPN, communication security, code signing, WLAN, routing, cellular communication, bootloader, power management, FOTA, VOIP, DECT, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience as an engineer working with software engineering design principals and development
* Experience in software development in Embedded Linux Environment
* Strong knowledge of C
* Knowledge of structured design, embedded real-time systems, and hardware/software interfacing
* Good analytical skills
* Experience in agile methodology
* Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in Java programming and/or Python
* Experience using git for development; patch/tree management
* Experience with Linux kernel debug tools and JTAG
