Embedded Software Developer – ART Common Base Technologies
Who we are
At the Agile Release Train Common Base Technologies, within Software & Electronics Platform, we develop harmonized platform solutions for both current and future products – from early concept to industrialization and follow-up in the field.
We are dedicated to building cross-functional and empowered teams and an agile environment where we learn every day, challenge each other and give continuous feedback. We are now looking for Software Developers and Testers to join one of our agile development teams on its exciting journey!
The team in question uses Matlab/Simulink to develop application software that manage electrical energy and vehicle modes in the car – optimizing function availability and energy efficiency for the customer through daily drive cycles and the whole life cycle. It provides essential functionality to the software & electronic platform in the SPA/CMA product architecture. The team is responsible for the whole development chain – requirement management, system design, software development, software testing in rigs and cars, analyzing and resolving quality issues, and safety documentation.
Who you are
We think you are a self-driven team player with high ambitions and both a sense of ownership and dedication to quality in everything you do. You take a structured approach to your work and have analytical skills that you have successfully applied to complex engineering tasks in the past.
You collaborate well with your peers and are open to share your work and expertise, and you are also not afraid to ask when you need their help. At the same time, you have no problem stating your own opinion and setting high standards.
You communicate well in English and have a B.Sc. or equivalent within Computer / Electrical / IT Engineering, Mechatronics or similar area of education. An M.Sc. is extra meritorious.
We expect you to have experience from system engineering and software development using Matlab/Simulink. Knowledge of testing with Vector tools like CANalyzer/CANape/CANoe, etc. is preferable. We also appreciate knowledge within electrical power engineering, ECU base tech (communication, diagnostics, Autosar) and ISO 26262. Requirement management with tools like Elektra and SystemWeaver will be good to know as well.
What will you do?
As part of our team, you will take a customer perspective and work with the whole spectra of system design levels – from function specification and system design to software implementation and verification in our cars, but with an added focus on software development in Matlab/Simulink. Your role and specific tasks will be formed by your own interest and the competence and experience you bring into the team. When striving to deliver the optimum product, you will work in close collaboration with a broad range of competences within HW, SW and System engineering – expanding your knowledge within many different fields.
