What you will do
You will be part of a newly created agile team focusing on the development of the next generation of on-board map data, which enables functionality within both driver assistance and fuel efficiency. Your main tasks will be to design and develop software, as well as contribute with new ideas related to map data and localization. By collaborating with teams working with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), fuel efficiency, telematics and connected solutions you will get a wide network within Volvo Group and an opportunity to make a difference within the automotive sector.
We apply an agile approach and work cross functionally and with continuous improvements. We expect you to take responsibility within the software architecture and development, and help out with other tasks as needed. You will also get a chance to help building a team from scratch, and mentor more junior colleagues.
Who are you?
We believe that you are a curious team-player, that is looking for a new challenge. You are not afraid to use your creativity on a wide set of problems, and can help setting the direction of a new team. Maybe you have experience within software architecture from before, or you want to learn more about it.
We think you have
Several years of experience within embedded software
Strong software development skills, for example in C++
A masters degree in for example Computer Science, Electronics, Physics or similar experience from industry
Skills within Embedded Linux
Experience from working in an agile team
It is also a merit with
Previous experience from Automotive, Telecom or Connectivity
Automotive communication protocols (CAN, Automotive Ethernet ...)
Classic/Adaptive Autosar
Skills within map data, HD maps or similar
Experience in software architecture
