We are the Electromobility & Uptime team for Wheel Loaders at Volvo Construction Equipment. Our team is based in Eskilstuna and we work with a broad range of wheel loader functions controlling for example operator interface, loading unit, steering, propulsion request, braking, cooling, human guard, lubrication, service and maintenance.


This is how you can make a difference
You will lead our team in assuring functional safety for our application software. You will drive an efficient way of working with functional safety in our development process and align our day-to-day safety work with how other departments and functions work. You will contribute with good understanding about relevant standards and directives and their application in the software domain. You will also be directly involved in activities such as function development, electronic system architecture development and test activity support in the evaluation of design solutions. We believe taking part in and understanding this is the key to finding the most efficient way of working with functional safety. We work mostly in a cross-functional and agile environment.

You have a relevant engineering degree and have experience in working with software development in the automotive industry. You have practical experience in facilitating safety or quality analysis such as HARA, FMEA and FTA.
Experience in the application of safety standards such as IEC61508, ISO13849, ISO19014 or ISO26262 is a plus.
