We are now recruiting an Embedded Software Engineer.

Permobil is now searching for new colleagues to join our team within Electronics and Software Development to contribute to the development of the next generation of smart electric wheelchairs.
Key Tasks
As an embedded software engineer you will:
• Work with different operating systems and use multi-processor solutions.
• Be part of specifying and developing a reliable system that are required to be compliant with international medical technology regulatory standards.
• Work in agile project development teams, from the beginning to the end of the software development life cycle.
Your Background
• You have at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• You have several years of experience in embedded programming for real-time systems, and development in C and C++. We will also consider newly graduated applicants if your profile is within the field.
• You have good knowledge in hardware design to understand, design, implement and discuss embedded software solutions with our hardware development teams.
• You have a strong hands-on approach, combined with effective communication, analytical thinking, strategic and problem-solving skills.
• You are fluent in English, both speech and writing.
Desired
• You have good knowledge in embedded Linux.
• You have good knowledge in high level languages such as C#.
• You have experience of working in Jira and Gitlab.
• You have previous experience in software development for medical devices or- other safety critical products.

The location for this position is Timrå, Sweden
