About the Role:

As part of our innovative Volvo Cars App team, you'll be pivotal in enhancing our mobile app, which offers remote access to cars, ensuring convenience and advanced functionality for users globally. Your role will be primarily focused on developing backend features for the app, with opportunities to expand your expertise across Android, iOS, test automation, and system design.

Main Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and maintain embedded remote functions related to the Volvo Cars app.
* Collaborate actively with the team, contributing to a variety of tasks.
* Write testable, thread-safe, and maintainable code.
* Conduct code reviews and contribute to team improvement.
* Keep abreast of technical trends to suggest innovative features.


Required Qualifications:

* BSc in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience in embedded C++ development.
* Proficiency in modern C++ (C++14) and cross-platform development.
* Agile tool proficiency (Jira, Git, Jenkins).
* Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
* Additional Python development skills.


Preferred Skills:

* Experience in Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) app development.
* Familiarity with BLE and mobile app projects.
* Software test automation experience.
* Conversational Swedish and Driver’s license (B) are advantageous.
* Knowledge of automotive technologies (CAN buses, FlexRay, SOME/IP, Robot Framework).
