About the role
Our Energy Storage System department (ESS) is expanding and we’re now on the hunt for a positive and confident ESW Application Engineer with a proactive mindset. A team player with experience in modeled-based SW development automotive systems, and/or experience with BMS SW development. The ESS department is responsible for all the parts in the Battery, HW design, cell design, SW, and system design. Your team is the BMS control group, a team that develops SW for the in-house Battery Management System and is responsible for breaking down high-level requirements to SW requirements and developing an SW design based on this. The work will mostly consist of designing SW solutions and implementing these. Testing will be done in HIL and simulated environments – experience from this is a plus. Sounds like you? Requirements:
Educational experience from MSc Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Equivalent
6 - 8 years of experience from model-based software development design & development OR 3-6 years of experience in Battery Management Systems
Experience with product documentation: requirements, product, and process documentation, etc.
In-depth knowledge in SW design, in Volvo PE Toolchain, and Vector Autosaur communication stack is meritious
Good knowledge in tools such as Git, Jenkins, MATLAB/target link
Proficiency in HARA and Root Cause Analysis
Good knowledge of agile methodology
