Embedded Software engineer for Software Platform development

Embedded Electronic Systems Software (EES SW) at Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE) in Eskilstuna is on an exciting journey and is now recruiting Embedded Software Engineers.

EES SW has an inspiring Project Program ongoing with new generation(s) of Electronic Hardware (ECUs) and new Software Frameworks(s). E&E Platform is providing E&E building blocks for the complete VCE machine range, so we offer you a chance to work globally and cross functionally within Volvo CE.
As Embedded Software Engineer, you will join a team that develops and maintains the software platforms, which are used in many of Volvo CE products.
In our environment, you will find and work with: C, C++, Python, and several operating system such as Rubus, Linux and Android.

You have professional experience from some of the RTOS and programming languages mentioned above, and you can use them in an effective way. Job tasks, example
Create and refine software requirements and design
Implement and test new functions in the frameworks
Work cross functionally with other departments to design and secure the very best functionality
Support users of the software frameworks within our global organization
Experience and Qualifications
Relevant academic background, e.g. M.Sc or B.Sc in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical field of study
Previous work experience in software development for Electronic/Embedded Systems and RTOS
Basic hardware knowledge required, in order to configure ECU's, carry out I/O-testing etc.
Experience of working with requirements, documentation and module test
Experience of working in Automotive and UDS 14229 is beneficial
Fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
