Embedded Software Engineer
(Embedded Software Platform)
The Role
The Koenigsegg embedded team is responsible for designing and developing software and electronics for the in-vehicle infotainment system, electronic control units (ECU) and supporting tools. We are working very closely with the other engineering departments, production and service/aftersales. We are now looking to expand the team with a skilled and experienced platform software engineer with the ability to transform product requirements and production needs to state of the art solutions and further advance the embedded system technologies in our cars.
While the responsibilities associated with this position put a strong requirement on your ability to cooperate with other departments in other technical domains, it offers you a uniquely dynamic environment to push the capabilities of our software platform to a new level. The development activities are primarily focused on the platform related work.
Responsibilities
Define functional specifications, high-level architecture and design for the platform software components and their interaction models with well-defined APIs.
Architect, develop and implement features that leverage the latest embedded & connected technologies for Koenigsegg’s embedded software platform.
Participate and take lead in debugging and profiling activities related to the platform.
Participate in the assessment of the technical design, feasibility concept, and planning process.
Support debugging and root cause analysis related to the embedded platform.
Support our production and service departments.
Work with a small, agile cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation, and designers.
Participate in the development of our way of working.
Requirements
In-depth Experience in embedded real-time operating systems, device drivers, microcontroller peripherals, etc.)
Proficient in C and C++ and scripting languages
Ability to follow circuit schematics and PCB layout drawings.
Experience in standard lab equipment such as power analyzer, oscilloscopes, frequency response analyzer to use for validating and debugging software and hardware.
Experience with CAN, SPI, I2C, SDIO, PCIe, Ethernet protocols
Proficient with micro-controller IDE design/development tools
Thorough understanding of software development practices
Experience with Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS)
Automotive experience
Fluency in English (Swedish is not a requirement).
Minimum 5 years of relevant, post-graduate, full time, experience.
Willingness to learn new technologies.
High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance.
Experience using common design patterns in the software industry.
Good to have
Experience with one or many SoC vendors such as NXP, Infineon, TI, Qualcomm, etc.
Experience in device drivers development and integration into automotive based platforms
Experience in troubleshooting automotive electrical systems.
Experience designing complex fault-tolerant safety systems in accordance with industry standard specifications (e.g., ISO26262, ASPICE)
Experience in building security-focused platforms
Experience with agile software development process
Experience in development code that is portable between platform versions.
Ability to work in a multi-tasking and dynamic ever-changing enviro
