Embedded Software Engineer to COBS

THE POSITION:

We are looking for an embedded software engineer with a few years’ of experience to join our team and develop high quality software in a fun, challenging, and creative environment. It is a small team that will provide the opportunity to work on several products and challenge your creativity. You will design, develop and maintain software in embedded Linux, embedded handset software and do some maintenance on Android application. The development is often customer driven, which makes it fun to see applications and API’s that you have developed be put into action. COBS is looking for bright people who thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. You are a structured team player who can work independently as well as in a group. You are positive and are setting high goals for yourself. The Software Engineer function plays a key role in the work to maintain and develop COBS product portfolio.

Main responsibilities:

Analyze product requirements. Participate and write product/design specifications.Drive software design, implementation, testing and documentation.Implement software based on complex requirements.Assist project management in estimations and project planning.Assist the support team in faultfinding when needed.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

BSc Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or other related fields.Good knowledge and practical experience of software development using C, C++.Good knowledge of embedded design.Linux experienceFluent in EnglishExperience in radio and telecom is a plusExperience with Bitbucket, Jira is a plusJava experience is a plusSwedish is a plus

We see it as beneficial if you have at least 1-3 years of experience working with the development of embedded system and customer demands. We need an excellent problem-solver who takes ownership of areas of improvement. We believe you like to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-quality products.
