Embedded Software Engineer Urbanears 🎧

About the position

Urbanears  is an audio product company driven by music, design and technology. Right now, we want to add an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team, and work together on developing products from concept to mass production.

What you'll do

In your role as an Embedded Software Engineer, your will be a part of developing the hardware in our products as well as the software, making them work together in magical ways. Your future tasks can include:

- Technology Research and Development

- Develop software architecture

- Prototype and develop product concepts

- Component evaluation and PCB design

- RF, DSP and embedded programming

- Technical evaluation, engineering reviews and quality assurance

- Supplier communication and development

- Testing and securing product

Who we’re looking for

You most likely have a master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar acquired knowledge. You have a tinkerer mindset and like to analyze, experiment and try new solutions. You are inquisitive and like to learn new skills. You dislike constraints and work well in a team environment, where ideas can come from anyone. You can discuss and explain technical solutions and software-related subjects with non-technical people in English (Swedish is not required). You have a good understanding of the audio market and technology strategies that can be a valuable input to our product roadmap.

In addition, you probably have the following experiences and skills:

- Proven professional experience based on examples of working with software- and product development.

- Broad experience in software development tools and technologies worked with modularizing software and developing software platforms.

- Professional experience with C/C++ and python.

- Good understanding of embedded software development and Bluetooth protocol.
