Embedded Software Release & Configuration Manager
(Software Configuration Manager)
The Role
The Koenigsegg embedded team is responsible for designing and developing software, electronics, supporting tools for all Koenigsegg’s hyper cars. We are now looking to expand the team with a skilled and experienced Software Configuration & Release Manager to support and improve our rapid software development cycle. You will have the ability to affect the way we do things and improve our tools, build environment, release process.
While the responsibilities associated with this position put a strong requirement on your ability to cooperate with other departments in other technical domains, it offers you a uniquely dynamic environment to push the capabilities of our software platform to a new level. The development activities are primarily focused on the software release and configuration management.
Responsibilities
Manage the software processes for configuration and release
Lead the planning for releases together with the different software teams
Manage the formal software releases for production and ensure their integrity by performing initial tests
Manage and improve our software tools, build environment, continuous integration setup
Develop and improve scripts for automation of the test and quality setup as well as the whole setup
Work with a small, agile cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation, and designers
Participate in the development of our way of working
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in software release and configuration management
Experience with complex software branching strategies
Experience with build toolchains, git workflow, CI/CD, Jira
Good knowledge of scripting languages (bash, python)
Good understanding of software development practices
Fluency in English (Swedish is not a requirement).
Willingness to learn new technologies
High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance.
Experience using common design patterns in the software industry
Good to have
Experience with software testing methods, tools, and environments
Embedded software systems, Quality and safety standards ASPICE, ISO 26262.
Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
Experience with agile software development process
Experience in development code that is portable between platform versions.
Ability to work in a multi-tasking and dynamic ever-changing environment.
