We are the Electromobility & Uptime team for Wheel Loaders at Volvo Construction Equipment.


Our team is based in Eskilstuna and we are responsible for embedded control software which is one of the most important areas in our products. Wheel Loaders are world leaders in functionality and operability, now transforming into Electromobility, Automation and Apps.




This is how you can make a difference


You will lead our team for assuring functional safety for our software development. You will ensure that functional safety standards are met during product development cycles. You will contribute with good understanding of solutions according to valid standards and directives.
You will also be a part of our team involved in activities such as embedded software development, functional development in simulation and machine, electronic system architecture development and also to support our testing activities in the evaluation of design solutions. The work is mostly performed in cross-functional and agile environment.


Who Are You?


You share our curiosity for innovative technology. You enjoy working with software and also get your energy from collaborating within, and outside of our department. You enjoy learning new skills and can also contribute to your colleague’s growth.


You are open-minded and have good communications skills. You have a relevant education within areas of mechatronics, software engineering, electronics or similar. Experience of working with electrical and/or electronic system in the automotive industry. Practical experience in facilitating safety or quality analysis such as HARA, FMEA, FTA etc. Experience in the application of safety standards such as IEC61508, ISO13849, ISO19014 or ISO26262
