Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Are you interested in developing your career into embedded software design?
The group "Hardware Test Platform", EPTH, is responsible for the design and build of the hardware in the HIL (Hardware in the Loop) test platform. The HIL platform is used to perform integration tests of the complete vehicle’s electrical system. Our new concept FlexHIL is scalable for many test levels. This means that the same HW that was designed to the complete vehicle testing could be used as well for single ECU testing.
Since we support integration of all systems in the vehicle, this position offers a unique overview and insight in all development within embedded systems at Scania.
The group consists of 6 employees and an additional group of consultants formed by 8 people.
Your tasks
This role is focusing on the SW design part, and we expect you to:
• Be able to program in embedded C.
• Have experience programming 32-bits microcontrollers
• Have knowledge about communication protocols such as CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet, SPI, UART.
• Have experience configuring and interfacing peripheral devices such as ADCs, DACs and transceivers
• Be able to program in C++ or another OOP language with UI design skills
• Have knowledge about embedded HW, and being able to read HW schematics
• Develop and perform functionality tests during the development process
Some “nice to have” skills:
• Experience with Arm® Cortex®-M7
• HW close programming (e.g. FPGA - VHDL)
• Embedded HW design
Together in the group we develop the HIL-environment to a modular platform that can support Scania´s project and function growth.
Your profile
You have:
• a relevant university degree e.g. within computer science, data, mechatronics engineering or similar
• a strong interest in embedded electronics engineering that you have either acquired through studies or own projects,
• a good knowledge in embedded systems development
You are:
• self-going
• responsible
• service-minded
• thorough
• solutions-oriented

Working in a similar role within a company in the automotive industry would be a huge plus.
We offer
We work with all embedded systems for the complete vehicle. This gives you the possibility to work with the latest technology for example for electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles. We collaborate with the owners of the different embedded systems which will give you a broad network within Scania and also the possibility to learn about the details.
