Arbetsbeskrivning
Due to increasing environmental concerns in big cities and requirements from the legislators, electric trucks and buses are becoming an obvious choice for many players in the transport sector. Scania with a solid history of delivering premium quality products is in the forefront of this shift in the automotive industry. We at the electric powertrain component control team develop, test, and deliver the software functions for control and diagnosis of electric motors and inverters in various Scania products.
We are now looking for a new team member to our team, that is a mix of engineers and PhDs with diverse backgrounds and experience levels. We offer an environment that applies agile working methods where you can go from idea to reality in same day! A normal day can start by a change in the electric motor cooling algorithm followed by testing in a virtual truck before lunch. After lunch you may continue verifying your software performance in a truck on our test track. We also perform yearly expedition activities where our enigineers verify our functionality in north Sweden and south Europe.
Your profile:
• You have a master’s degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering or similar program.
• You have work experience or had courses in all or some of areas such as control theory, hydraulics, electric motor control, signal processing, programming, modelling, and simulation in MATLAB Simulink.
• You are flexible when late changes happen and are solution minded when problems occur.
• You are fluent in English. Knowledge in Swedish is a plus.
It is certainly a plus if you have previous experience from working with software development for embedded systems. However, even as a newly graduate who is ambitious to learn and try out new things we have plenty of engaging tasks for you.
Scania offers you
As a Scania employee, you are given excellent professional development opportunities, great colleagues and the possibility to be a part of a revolutionizing journey. Working at Scania you are offered benefits such as personnel car, mutual performance bonus, occupational pension, flexible working hours and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer our direct bus service between Stockholm City – Liljeholmen – Södertälje, the Scania Job Express.
