Embedded Systems Engineer

The Volvo CE Technology function manages a world wide construction equipment technology organization with over 1500 employees. Volvo CE Electrical and Electronic System technology platform organization is developing Electrical and Electronic Systems for all Volvo CE machines. It is a fast growing technology area, today globally organized in 11 different departments on 7 locations in 6 countries. 5 of the departments are located in Eskilstuna. Today there are a number of positions to be filled in different areas. Both experienced and new graduate engineers are needed. Job Summary: As an Embedded Systems Developer you will work with the development of electronic systems controlling Volvo CE machines. Typical functions are hydraulic control, vehicle monitoring, driver information etc. Depending on interest and experience the daily work can involve SW development, electrical design(schematics), function design (e.g. hydraulic pressure monitoring and control), configuration management, process development or have a product responsibility of a sub systems such as wireless communication (Telematics), air conditioning control, machine usage logging etc. Qualifications: . Engineering degree and/or experience needed in the technology area . Results-driven (result oriented) . Experience in product development, within Electrical and Electronics . Experience of component based software development . Experience of model based design . Excellent communication skills . Fluent in speaking and writing in English
