Embedded Systems Engineer - BTG Instruments AB

Summary

We are searching for a skilled developer for embedded software and hardware systems to join BTG Instruments’ R&D engineering team in Säffle, Sweden.

The embedded systems engineer designs, develops, maintains, and tests embedded systems and has the process knowledge to bring products from development into running production. Release procedures and hand over to production is also an important part.

Your responsibilities

- Develop, deliver, and maintain quality embedded software and electronics
- Test and debug the systems
- Take part in development projects, system integration and test activities


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

- Excellent teammate with the ability to influence and negotiate
- Self-motivated, pro-active as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
- Good writing and verbal communication skills



- Professional skills - Experience in development and debugging of software for embedded systems
- Experience with common version management systems such as Git
- Good knowledge of electronics, ability to read and understand circuit diagrams and data sheets
- Ability to test and troubleshoot on hardware using common measurement equipment
- Experience from system integration, verification, and validation of embedded systems







Meritorious

- Experience of electronics design tools
- Real-time operating systems experience (RTOS)
- Experience of TCP/IP implementations on MCU hardware
- Radio implementations such as WiFi and BT
- Experience of embedded Linux and Yocto




REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software or Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years demonstrated product development experience


OTHER REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to travel occasionally
- Good English and Swedish language skills
- Driver’s license category B
