As an Embedded system engineer you are part of a technology team which develops firmware for in-circuit debug/trace probes, our proprietary probes I-jet, I-jet Trace for Arm and RISC-V architectures, and future probes. Our customers use the debug probes together with IAR Embedded Workbench to debug their application code directly on their development boards.

Are you a problem solver who loves to identify improvement areas and have a passion for driving action for changes? Then this is a job for you!

YOU WILL

You will be part of a team of skilled colleagues distributed in Sweden and US. Your work location will be in the IAR Uppsala office, but in your daily work you will primarily interact with your colleagues in the US.

You will write excellent and efficient code that you will review and test as well as write test plans. It is also expected that you will be creating documentations and contribute to innovative solutions where products are improved.

It’s very important that you use efficiency and work in a smart way and always try to improve your working methods to secure the highest quality in your delivery. To fit this position, we see that you have:


• A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent practical experience from a related technical field.
• Knowledge in hardware and software architecture and debugging
• Experience in working with electronics and embedded systems design
• Experience in writing software in C or C++
• Experience in working with embedded environments, schematics, trace, and board-level debugging
• Experience with FPGA-based SoC platforms such as Xilinx Zynq
• Experience of Arm/Cortex architectures

 

We see it as a big plus if you have


• Knowledge in RISC-V architecture
• Understanding of digital and analog electronics
• Experience of scripting languages such as Python
