Who are we?
We are a team of engineers within EMC Technology area at Vehicle Technology in Gothenburg. We provide world class solutions, tests, and simulations for electromagnetic compatibility in our trucks. What do we do & why do we do that?
Together with our friends, we are developing the best transport solutions in the world.
Our contribution to this is to conduct formal test of the electrical system with focus on EMC. Within our scope of responsibility lies the work with development of requirement (Volvo EMC Standards), new test methods, simulations, processes, and tools. As of the increased complexity of our new products and the electrical architecture, there is an increased need of faster feedback and quality assurance in development. We provide a complete EMC product status to take the correct decisions and to generate feedback back to the component owners and suppliers, so they know what they need to fix. We do this to secure that the electrical system (the soul of the truck) is behaving according to our customer’s high expectation on our products.


Who are you?
We are looking for a courageous decisive transformational leader, with knowledge within electromagnetic area with eye for details and passion to improve and to solve problems. Our industry is under transformation, and we are constantly facing new challenges and undiscovered territories in a rapid pace. But in the end of the day, we are not looking for a super-human who checks all the boxes. What really matters is that our new colleague has the right personality, mindset and complements the team with new perspectives and knowledge.


You will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading and create strategies for EMC test activities.


We are in this together, but it is vital that you are self-driven and thrive in environments that are constantly changing. Expect that we do not have the answers, but we will be happy to find out together with you.


What does it take?
• Experience from technology/product development
• Practical technology leadership. Theoretical is a bonus
• Knowledge and experience of Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Experience within electrical HW design is a merit.
• Truck driving license (C or CE) and truck knowledge would be awesome but not mandatory.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience
