About the job
In this expert role, your mission is about driving, leading and coordinating the implementation of an employee centric and performance driven culture within SMS. You develop and execute strategies and roadmaps in the areas of employee engagement, diversity and inclusion (D&I), and performance management. By collaborating with our EHS function, you also drive areas related to health and wellbeing. Together with stakeholders across Sandvik you ensure that everything is developed and implemented effectively, consistently and according to strategies and roadmaps.
You sync engagement data and people analytics to produce robust analysis and set the direction of our organization. This includes contributing to strategic planning and decision-making at the top executive level, keeping our people strategy aligned with other business strategies. Keeping up with market trends and best practices in your area is important, as you represent us in interactions with external stakeholders and networks, and you share your knowledge and insights with stakeholders at all levels.
You report to, and act in close collaboration with, the Head of Employee Experience at SMS, and work together with HR leaders in our Divisions and other Employee Experience Experts across Sandvik Group – both by participating in, and leading, a forum of expertise and by driving projects in the area of your responsibility. The location for this role is flexible preferably within Europe. Since we’re a global business, travel will be a natural part of the role, as well efficient digital collaboration across time zones.
About you
We’re looking for someone with experience from working as an HR leader and with in-depth knowledge in a relevant area such as performance management, D&I or employee engagement. You’ve been working both strategically and operationally in a global environment and are experienced in managing projects. You’re used to navigating in a decentralized organization with cross-functional collaborations and close contact with managers and HR, and you’re comfortable in presenting to stakeholders on all levels including Executive Management. We expect an interest in new digital solutions and good knowledge of Office 365, while experience from using Workday are advantageous. As we act in a global setting, you must be fluent in English, verbally and in writing.
You’re characterized by a structured, pragmatic and innovative way of working, and you capture opportunities without losing track of our direction. With a strategic and holistic view, you respond timely on business requirements and act on both urgent, short-term and long-term objectives. In all of your work, you rely on strong stakeholder management and great collaborations, and you empower people to find efficient solutions, look at new perspectives and share best practices.
