Engineer at Final Assembly

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

SCANIA PRODUCTION CHINA (SPS) - Final Assembly / Chassis
Final Assembly in China

Scania has decided to install a 3rd industrial hub in China besides the industrial installations in Europe and Latin America. A project within P&L have been initiated to develop and implement this hub. One part of this project is the final assembly. Which includes the chassis plant’s building and equipment prepared to produce according to the technical capacity demanded by China market.

We are now looking for a number of engineers within Final Assembly.

In the project, you will be a part of an exciting journey to set the base for final assembly in China and help us to develop a future plant with high level of quality and digitalization.

 Process Engineer includes several activities as:

- Develop the layout project considering the best ergonomic for the operator, rationalized process flow.

- Specify each equipment / tooling using the best technology available, follow the equipment’s tryout in the suppliers.

- Prepare the mona structure, update the mona for all  new introductions, S’orders and EFR’s.

- Follow the development of new architecture for SAP “NOVA” in China

 Quality Engineer includes several activities as:

- Development risk reduction "quality control plan”, analyzing all China variants and local parts.

- Prepare quality Gates structure, as well as error proofing map for all critical assemblies.

- Implement the Torque roadmap mainly for Critical torques.

- Set the process for product audit and measurement room.

SPS Engineer: includes several activities as:

- Implement the ISO, understand and validate all local rules.

- Prepare the SPS material in order to training the local works.

- Develop with the team all standards element sheet needed.

Your profile
You have a university degree in engineering or similar and have at least a couple of years' experience as process engineer or quality engineer. You have preferably worked in Chassis Assembly and have experience into SPS.

Since the corporate language is English and you will also have some international contacts,it is a requirement that you can express yourself in English, both orally and in writing.

Your location
The China project team is based in Södertalje. However, flexible work location may be applied to reflect competences needed and deliveries in the project. Business trips abroad and to China must occur.
