The position
LKAB are the leading the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. One important business development focus is creating value from our secondary products. One important part of this is technology- and process development. Now we need to strengthen our resources within Chemistry and Hydro Metallurgy. Your main objective We are looking to strengthening our innovative and creative team.
Your main objective is to work on minerals related business development projects, with the aim to prove the concept and evolve them from a theoretical business case to a full-scale industry. One of several important projects right now is the ReeMAP project extracting apatite from tailing material and producing mineral fertilizers.
Qualifications
You have a solid competence base and probably a network within the fertilizer industry, engineering companies or academia. You have experience of practical laboratory and pilot-scale experimental work. It would be a strong merit if you also had competence in relevant analytical techniques such as ICP-OES, AAS and ion chromatography, etc. and knowledge of modelling in e.g., HSC to create models of the process based on trial data.
Suitable background Chemistry/Hydro metallurgy Previous experience from process development.

The project team is based in Luleå which is the optimal job location. However, alternative locations can be considered.
