Engineering Foundations

Engineering Foundations builds the infrastructure and services that all other teams at Tink use everyday. This is the Developer Platform that Tink’s 250 engineers use to ship products, and we make sure they can scale in a reliable and performant way.

The teams in Engineering Foundations have ownership of common infrastructure allowing teams to focus on shipping business features. Our problem domains range from message queues and observability to exposing APIs to the internet, building and testing our services as well as providing a stable and flexible runtime environment or scalable data stores.

As a member of one of our teams, you will be working with high load systems with high uptime requirements, giving you lots of opportunities to hone your SRE or developer skillset. We develop our services in Go and Java, we deploy them to Kubernetes in AWS, store our data in MySQL & Cassandra and create our graphs in Grafana - you don’t need to know all this, though!

Who you are

You are a committed Software Engineer or SRE who wishes to progress your career in a fast growing, international company. You’re keen to work in a collaborative, honest and agile environment.

We’re looking for candidates both in the start of their careers as well as candidates who have a few years of experience. Motivation, creativity, autonomy and commitment are just as important as years of experience!

Our teams

We have a dynamic workspace with distributed teams, many of us work from home, but we get together in the office at least once a week. We’re open to discuss this and find something that works for you as well!

Tink’s HQ is in Stockholm, Sweden and we also have big offices in Warsaw, Poland, and Madrid, Spain. We have smaller offices in Finland, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, and the UK.

- Backend development in Java or Go
- Cloud technologies
- Experience operating a production environment
