What's in it for you?
We are ART Electrical & Software Engineering, part of Vehicle Software & Installation within Digital, Volvo Cars. We provide, develop, and maintain an extensive suite of digital solutions with the sole purpose of enabling best-in-class vehicle software development. To grow, we work in close collaboration with our R&D organization, joint ventures (Zenseact, Polestar et.al.) as well as other departments within Digital. Our solutions span from Complete CI Tool Chains, High-Performance Computing, Compilers, and other tools for Software development and engineering. We are a highly diverse and engaged team, currently constituted by 60+ team members divided into 8 product teams.
What you’ll do
As an Engineer in our Electrical & Software Tools product, you will provide the use of engineering- and software development tools connected to the domain Vehicle Software & Installation. You will be a full member of an agile team responsible for maintenance and governance of several in-house developed or COTS applications (e.g. Matlab, Captial, Green Hills…)
You will be responsible for defining and driving backlog items and securing the purpose of the current increment. As an engineer, you will also act as a technical lead and subject matter expert for a given scope of applications. You will work closely with the product owner, business stakeholders, and our architectural community to maintain a coherent and efficient solution offering. Moreover, you will be participating in planning, definition, and high-level design as well as evaluation and revision of existing solutions to propose and realize the implementation of enabler epics.
You and your skills & experiences
• You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience from previous roles within IT Governance or Application Management.
• Experience in license management.
• You have experience with agile methodologies and ways of working.
• Experience with Azure cloud environment and containerization technologies (Docker)
• You are a true person and great at communication and collaboration.
• You are result-driven and yet with a pragmatic and holistic approach.
